Invitation to a yoga course at Eikholt

Who is the course suitable for?
Deaf/sign language girls with visual impairment of all ages. You are welcome if you have done yoga before or if you have not done yoga before! We start with simple exercises. All exercises will be customised for each individual. There will be a community interpreter in all classes.

Course content: How to cope with stress in everyday life? Simple relaxation and yoga exercises About body awareness and well-being We make good tea and simple dishes that are good for the body We learn about nutrition and healthy eating We make yoga tapes (if you don't know what that is, you'll learn it on the course) Offer swimming in a heated pool You can meet others in the same situation and exchange experiences

Course leaders: The teachers are Marit Kjus Garden and Ruth Helling. Marit is a trained sign language interpreter and works as a teacher and interpreter. She is also a yoga teacher and teaches yoga for the deaf in Oslo. Ruth is a fitness instructor and yoga teacher and has for several years taught course participants at Eikholt about relaxation and stress management.

The 1st course week is week 25, 16 - 19 June 2015 For those who want to learn more, the course continues in the autumn. You can apply for all three course weeks now if you wish. The course weeks in autumn 2015 will be:
2nd course week is week 35, 25 - 28 August 2015
3rd course week is week 46, 10 - 13 November 2015

What does the course cost?
This is a NAV adaptation course. All expenses for the course are covered by NAV. You will have to pay for your own travel expenses, but will be reimbursed by NAV after the course.
